Boy, I am crazy busy, but this is too good to pass over.

A post of mine from over a year ago, Why Can’t the Hero Be a Girl? still generates a crapload of traffic for various reasons: sexual dynamics, heroic motifs, early draxian influences, Exit Vector… but come on. The post gets a lot of hits because it’s about Star Wars, specifically the films’ early deve- lopment and design. Well, roll up your sleeves and unhinge your jaws! Michael Heilemann has crafted and assembled what might prove to be the definitive text concerning Chewbacca’s origins. Really fascinating and heavily sourced. Highly recommended!
